Insurance Brokers Code of Practice
Don Hutton Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd t/as The Builders Insurance Broker are proud members of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA). NIBA has been a driving force for change in the Australian insurance broking industry, setting higher standards for professionalism and education for insurance brokers. The Insurance Brokers Code of Practice was developed by NIBA to provide additional safeguards for clients, prospective clients, and other parties with whom Code Subscribers interact in performing services.

We usually act on your behalf and in your interests in matters. However, sometimes, it may be more appropriate for us to either arrange insurance or manage claims where we act as an agent of the insurer. If and when this situation arises, we will explain and highlight this to you.
We are authorised to advise you about and arrange general insurance products. If we are unable to act on your behalf due to a conflict of interest which cannot be managed, we will immediately notify you.
